How can you learn lessons for life from an animal?!

Have you ever had a pet?? And if you didn’t have one, did you ever have this chance of learning something from them animals??
Maybe I sound crazy or superstitious, but actually I’ve had this chance, and I’ve observed and lived with an animal that affected me in many ways, let me mention one of them it is quite interesting and strange experience.
I have many cats, One of them is a male, it’s a pretty Persian and cute one…I named it “Simba” I had also another one that was a beautiful female, her name was Mimi,..
Anyway, Simba and Mimi had a very committed and beautiful love.. yeah you read it right “Love”…it was funny and so cute, I remember that every time he saw her he used to lick her ear gently and then sit beside her or play with her..
One day I remember that I locked her up in my room because I didn’t know she was there, so I just left the room and closed the door behind me…I didn’t enter the room for hours and was pretty away from it…and then I returned to the room several hours after that to find a stunning scene, Simba was standing on his hind legs and putting his hands on the door trying to push it as hard as he could, and heard Mimi’s sound inside meowing gently as Simba was pushing from the other side. When he saw me he came running to me meowing so loudly and then scratched my feet as if he was trying to pull me or something…anyhow, I went to the door and opened it and Mimi came out running, Simba licked her ears like he always did but this time for longer…then she reacted –amazingly- by pushing her head against his chest…It was a stunning scene.. my mouth was opened in amazement, I never thought that something in the world could be like that.
She left our home afterwards, and ever since then I don’t remember that he got near to another female, and if you have enough experience with cats you’ll know that male cats are always furious with female ones when they get mature, but actually Simba wasn’t like that, he was peculiarly different, gentle and amazing!
To tell the truth I never believed in our human love to believe in animals’ one…and I always believed that animals are only moved by their instincts not by mind or heart like us humans…but to tell the truth after several experiences with my pets I came to change my mind, and I became really questioning and curious…is there more than instinct about it?? Is there something else that can affect the animals’ behavior?? No direct answer for me I know…but it’s something I’ve been asking myself for so long and I am always trying to find an answer to the behavior of animals that in many times came to affect me and teach me a lot of lessons…and not me only it affected a lot of people..
Hope I would know your opinions about this, and hope I can find an answer to this question…and if you ever had a similar experience; please share it here with us…
